What is now Real Legacy Assurance Company, Inc. was incorporated in 1974under the name of Royal Insurance Co. of Puerto Rico, Inc. and began its operations as a local company on the 1st of January of 1978. Since then, our solid growth has been intertwined with a genuine commitment to protect the interests of our clients. We were originally a subsidiary of Royal & SunAlliance Group PLC, one of the largest and  oldest insurers in the world, having begun its operations in 1710.

On October 8th, 2003, however,  Royal & SunAlliance Insurance (Puerto Rico), Inc. became a subsidiary of the Cooperativa de Seguros Multiples de Puerto Rico, adopting its new corporate name on August 2, 2004.   This union produces one of the largest and economically solid insurance groups in the Puerto Rican insurance market. 

Our company is authorized to write business in PuertoRico and the United States Virgin Islands. Our objective is to protect the interest of our clients, offering them quality of service at competitive rates with  fair and efficient claims management.   Consolidating our objective on a firm base of absolute integrity, our commitment is to continue with the formula that has guaranteed our success throughout more than 25 years of existence.
